Three Kazakh oil refineries can process 18 million tonnes of crude a year

Three Kazakhstan oil refineries can process 18 million tonnes of input in crude oil each year, deputy chairman of the board for oil transportation, refining and marketing of KazMunayGas Daniyar Tiesov said.

"After the release of all the process units to full production capacity, we literally recounted the total volume of processing, and we are talking about the so-called balanced processing, that is, that we do not produce or produce small quantities of dark oil products ... We calculated that three refineries, if they are loaded at full capacity, will be able to process 18 million tonnes in a balanced way, " he said at the Argus Oil and Gas Market of Kazakhstan and Central Asia 2018 conference on 27 June.

According to him, this volume of processing will be enough to completely cover the demand of Kazakhstani consumers for diesel fuel and gasoline.

“The factories in our country have reached the full provision of the republic with high-quality petroleum products, which meet the environmental standards of K-4 and K-5. That is, we can officially declare that for the main types of products such as for gasoline and diesel fuel, we cover 100% of the republic's needs in the required volumes," Daniyar Tiesov said.
