The British-Kazakh Society was founded in 2002 to promote and develop relations between the two countries at all levels. A measure of the importance placed on this lies in the fact that the Society’s Patrons are President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and HRH The Duke of York. Although the main emphasis of the programme of events is on generating links and co-operation with government and industry, we are keen to emphasise the importance of both educational and cultural matters as a true relationship can only be forged by an understanding of each country’s traditions and a commitment to the future in the form of their young people.
